Act No. 4083/11 provides for the support and protection of witnesses and victims only in public criminal proceedings. This Act covers all types of offence and current protection requirements exceed the immediate response capacity, which is why legislation has been drafted to establish a priority order of cases and to include the relocation of witnesses and victims as well as the use of technologies for such protection.
